“LOCAL STYLE” in an original series on The Surf Channel that explores the
world’s top surf destinations. In the first episode of a ten-part seies,
host Mike Rodger shows us why Uluwatu in Bali, Indonesia is a surf mecca
and why surfers travel around the world to surf the many islands of
Indonesia.
I’m going to bali next summer. I did a surf camp once and did some surfing
in Belgium, but seeing the fact that there aren’t really good waves in
Belgium, you can say that I’m not an experienced surfer, I’m a beginner who
knows the basics. I know that Bali has a lot of amazing surf spots, but I
really want to go to Uluwatu. But I’m a bit concerned and I’m doubting if
it is to dangerous for a beginner or not? Can someone who has been there
give some advice and is it possible to use a longboard?
