will never foget driving down the highway 3 and coming round the corner and
seeing Mt Taranaki in the sunlight…stunning seemed like CGI unreal and
the ocean out in front also Mahia out East is stunning and the Coromandel
Opito Bay so many beautiful places, taranui….the list goes on can wait to
see it all again love the road trip tvnz should pick it up

@freak8385 Yeah, there is a lot of black sand on the west coast of the
North Island. Maybe from Mount Taranaki erupting … but I’m not sure.
@funfurfreak This kind of ceremony with singing and speeches in Māori is
common for special occasions in New Zealand – opening of events, welcoming
of visitors etc. I don’t think it’s done for every boat launch though.
New Zealand is such a wonderful place! I hope I can visit it some time in
the future.
